Thank you families who came to watch our Jog-A-Thon today. The sun was shining and the kids brought their energy and enjoyed the exercise. Because of your support we are able to order Olympics shirts for all students. Thank you Hunt Families!

Congratulations to our February students of the month!

Read Across America, Day 1: Pajama Day!

At today’s Spirit Assembly, classes and students were rewarded if they had perfect attendance. This week, Mr. Castillo and Mrs. Guillens classes had the best attendance! Students with perfect attendance had a raffle for pizza coupons from Mountain Mike’s.

Congratulations to our January students of the month! Also, congratulations to Mrs. Richardson’s 1st grade class and Mrs. Benavides’ 4th grade class for having the best attendance for the month. They got to enjoy a slime party today!

It's the 100th day of school! Mrs. Arteaga and Mrs. Cope greeted students this morning dressed as true centenarians and many of our Hunt students and staff showed off their senior styles. Our superintendent, Mr. Pruett, had to come see this fashion showcase for himself :)

Last Friday we had a kickoff to our Kindness Week. Students received awards for perfect attendance as well as our first Kindness shoutout!

Hunt Movie Night is tonight!!! All food is FREE (nachos, hot dogs and more!) and Santa will also be visiting and available to take pictures. We will be showing the movie: Abominable. Doors open at 5:15pm and the movie begins around 5:30. Bring your family and friends!

Congratulations to our November students of the month! They earned awards in academics as well as character (kindness). Attendance raffle prizes were also given out. Every day counts!

Congratulations to our October students of the month who earned awards in the areas of academics, iReady achievement and showing respect.
We also had an attendance raffle and three students took home a prize for perfect attendance in November!

Red on red on red today! Students and staff have been showing off their Red Ribbon Week spirit.

This weekend only! Newman FFA's first ever Pumpkin Patch. Orestimba High School Farm on Saturday, October 14th from 10 am - 6 pm and Sunday, October 15th from 10 am - 2 pm.

Congratulations to our Hunt Staff! At yesterday's board meeting we, for the second month in a row, received the award for Staff Perfect Attendance.

Congratulations to our Hunt students who received student of the month awards today. Those awarded have shown academic achievement on iReady as well as the character trait of responsibility. Go Tigers!

Hunt students who were present every day since the beginning of school received their monthly Kona Ice treat! They were jumping up and down with excitement as they waited to receive their attendance incentive.
Attendance matters. Remember, students are eligible for all attendance incentives as long as they are: present every day (no absences), they are at school on time (no tardies) and remain at school all day (no early check outs).
Looking forward to next month!

Hunt students and staff got together this morning for an assembly to discuss our monthly character trait of responsibility and also to recognize students who have had perfect attendance since the beginning of school. We even had Tony our Hunt Tiger visit the class with perfect attendance for the whole week.
We ended our assembly with a fantastic new school chant, led by our 3rd graders!

Happy Friday Hunt Families!
We wanted you to go into your weekend with the sweetest images of some of our TK and Kinder students learning about “Living vs. Non-living” things.

First Grade students at Hunt have been learning about communities in their ELA curriculum, so what better way to learn than to bring in actual members of our Newman community!
Special thanks to Ms. Farris Larsen from the Westside Theatre, Police Chief Richardson from Newman PD and Fire Chief Tony Anderson. Students were so excited to ask questions and learn more about how these great people help our community.

Hunt students showed their Hunt Tiger Pride this morning at our assembly. We talked about wearing purple and gold on our spirit days (Fridays) and how students with perfect attendance for the month of September will get Kona Ice! We ended our assembly by all singing happy birthday to one of our favorite people: Mrs. Poppy!

Please join us for our Back to School Night this Thursday, August 17th from 6-7 pm.
