The Hunt parking lot was turned into a BMX arena today as students and staff got to experience an assembly put on by X-games BMX professionals. They even jumped over our Principal, Mrs. Arteaga! Students were so excited and could not stop saying “whoooaaaaa!” Very fun assembly for sure.

Today, Hunt students in 1st-5th grades had an assembly presentation from two representatives of the Missoula Children’s Theatre. Students learned about two styles of theatre: Greek Tragedy and Comedy.
Missoula Children’s Theatre is performing “Sleeping Beauty” this Saturday at the Westside Theatre. 🎭
It's that time to have new school site council parent representatives. School site council meetings will happen three times a year. Parents should compose 50% of the council in each meeting. We are looking for volunteers to be a part of this. Please respond to this message with your name if you are interested. We will have all participants on a ballot and voting will take place. We appreciate your willingness to collaborate and cooperate with us to continue to move our school forward.

At yesterday’s school district board meeting, Hunt was able to showcase our site and the amazing things our students do. We had a team of Hunt students who did a great job presenting! We are so proud of our students here at Hunt and are incredibly happy we were able to showcase their hard work!
This week was filled with field trips for almost every grade level (we did not plan it that way…it just happened!) TK and K got to see and pet farm animals at Fraser Farms, 1st visited wild animals at the Oakland Zoo and 3-5th took a walk over to OHS for their FFA/Ag day.
I think we are all ready for a restful weekend!
Today we celebrated our March students who earned an award for academics and self-improvement. We also had students recognized for showing exceptional kindness and great attendance. Finally, TK-3 students listened to a presentation from the Central California Irrigation District about staying away from canals and swimming only in safe places.
Families- we hope you have a restful Spring Break and we will see students back on April 8th.
Thank you families who came to watch our Jog-A-Thon today. The sun was shining and the kids brought their energy and enjoyed the exercise. Because of your support we are able to order Olympics shirts for all students. Thank you Hunt Families!

Read Across America, Day 1: Pajama Day!
At today’s Spirit Assembly, classes and students were rewarded if they had perfect attendance. This week, Mr. Castillo and Mrs. Guillens classes had the best attendance! Students with perfect attendance had a raffle for pizza coupons from Mountain Mike’s.
Congratulations to our January students of the month! Also, congratulations to Mrs. Richardson’s 1st grade class and Mrs. Benavides’ 4th grade class for having the best attendance for the month. They got to enjoy a slime party today!
It's the 100th day of school! Mrs. Arteaga and Mrs. Cope greeted students this morning dressed as true centenarians and many of our Hunt students and staff showed off their senior styles. Our superintendent, Mr. Pruett, had to come see this fashion showcase for himself :)
